Police and Fire Calls for May 23, 2013

Assault

• At 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a fight in the 10500 block of Mendenhall Loop Road, and a 15-year-old girl was arrested for fourth-degree assault and taken to the Johnson Youth Center.

Domestic dispute

• At 7:17 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to an altercation between two minor boys and one adult man. Alcohol was involved. Investigation continues.

Driving violations

• At 2:14 p.m. Tuesday, Kayle Deon Hunt, 26, was cited and released for driving while license suspended in the 4000 block of Egan Drive. Her vehicle was impounded.

• At 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, Ryan James Westrope, 24, was cited for driving without a valid license in the 1400 block of Harbor Way, and his vehicle was impounded.

Drug activity

• At 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of drug activity in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

Fire and medical

• At 8:02 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Salmon Creek Lane, and he was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 8:13 a.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Lawson Creek Road for a possible fire. Fire extinguished and under investigation.

• At 10:12 a.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Skagway for a medevac mission, which was cancelled due to staffing.

• At 1:28 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Livingston Way to assist medevac crew with patient transport to BRH. Transport conducted.

• At 5 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Salmon Creek Lane, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Engineers Cutoff Road for a vehicle accident with injuries. Patient refused transport to hospital.

• At 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Livingston Way to assist medevac crew with patient transport to BRH. Transport conducted.

• At 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Jacobsen Drive, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Mendenhall Loop Road for a vehicle accident with injuries, and basic life support care was given to a woman and she was taken to BRH.

• At 9:33 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Hospital Drive to assist medevac crew with patient transport to Juneau International Airport. Transport conducted.

• At 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Franklin Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Hospital Drive to assist medevac crew with patient transport to JIA. Transport conducted.

• At 11:51 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Pioneer Avenue, and she was taken to BRH via POV.

Minor consuming

• At 12:37 a.m. Wednesday, Bradley Free Wilson, 19, was cited and released for minor consuming in the 400 block of Gastineau Avenue.

• At 1:31 a.m. Wednesday, Dillon Thomas Baltzell, 19, was cited and released for minor consuming in the 400 block of Franklin Street.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 1:02 p.m. Tuesday, a bus struck a parked vehicle in the 3400 block of Glacier Highway. Damage only. No injuries.

• At 5:12 p.m. Tuesday, a parked 2005 Chevy Cavalier was struck by an unknown vehicle on Fourth Street. Damage only.

• At 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a three-vehicle crash with injuries in the 3900 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. There was about $3,500 in combined damages, and the 21-year-old female driver of a 1989 Jeep Grand Cherokee was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance.

Vandalism

• At 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, a 20-year-old man reported vandalism to his vehicle on Montana Creek Road. Investigation continues.

• AT 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of vehicle vandalism in the 9300 block of Rivercourt Way.

• At 7:42 a.m. Wednesday, a 17-year-old boy reported his vehicle was egged and paintballed sometime during the night in the 8100 block of Easy Street.
