Artist R.T. “Skip” Wallen photographs the bronze sculpture he made titled “Windfall Fisherman” as it is lifted onto a trailer by Travis Seibel and guided by Jason Sims, both of Arete Construction, on Thursday. The area is being remodeled as part of the Main Street construction project. Wallen said he will spend a few weeks making repairs to the sculpture before it is temporarly placed in the Dimond Courthouse Plaza for the summer. The sculpture will be moved back to its original position in August. The sculpture was commissioned to celebrate Alaska’s first 25 years of statehood in 1984.
