More than likely stuffed from the feast at the Filipino, Inc. Hall an hour earlier where the celebration of the appointment of Juneau’s honorary consul general to the Philippines took place, the full Assembly gathered Monday night in a whirl of mass approval and passed everything on the evening’s agenda.
An ordinance regarding noise levels and amending the disturbing of peace that clarified the terms and times for when different levels were permitted, the appropriation of $313,610,300 for fiscal year 2014 budget excluding the school district, a slight mill rate increase and a regulation to adjust fees and rates at the airport passed unanimously before the Assembly.
Rate changes at the airport include terminal rents and rental car parking rates.
Another item on the agenda included all appointments to the 1 percent for Arts Selection Panel, a capital improvement plan proposed for the next six fiscal years.
Appointees were named for the Mendenhall Library Project: Jeff Bush, Janet Schempf, Rai Behnert and Robert Barr; for the Juneau Cruise Berth Project: Annie Calkins, Jeff Bush, Kirby Day and David Logan; and for the Gastineau Elementary School Project: Brenda Edwards, Rachael Juzeler, Miah Lager and Kris Dorsey.
