Assist

• At 2:43 p.m. Sunday, Juneau Police assisted adult probations with a remand on the 8600 block of Teal Street.

Commercial troller retain undersized king salmon

• On June 9, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Mark S. Roberts, age 55, of Petersburg a summons for retaining a commercially caught king salmon that was under 28 inches in length.

Death

• At 10:31 a.m. Monday, JPD investigated the death of a 61-year-old man on the 300 block of St. Ann’s Avenue.

Domestic dispute

• At 10:40 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to a report of a 28-year-old woman assaulting a 35-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man on the 9400 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 2:31 a.m. Monday, JPD continued investigation into the report of a disturbance between a 35-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man on the 200 block of Third Street.

Driving under the influence

• At 1:09 p.m. Sunday, Joshua Charles Amos, 31, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to LCCC. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 11:35 p.m. Sunday, Crystal Riley, 28, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to LCCC. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Failure to obtain vessel license

• On Sunday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Juneau cited Ian Nankervis, 24, of Juneau, for operating commercial fishing vessel that was not licensed for 2013. Nankervis was issued a $210 bailable citation and given 30 days to respond to District Court at Juneau.

Maximum number of lines surpassed

• On June 12, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Michael E. Halbert, age 47, of Gustavus a violation summons for operating more sport fish lines than the number of paying clients while on a guided sport fish charter.

No commercial crewmembers license

• On Sunday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Megan F. Malcolm, 25, of Homer, a citation for participating in the 2013 commercial gillnet fishery without a valid 2013 crewmembers license and Donald A. Malcolm, 58, of Homer, a citation for employing an unlicensed crewmember as the skipper of the FV Crimson Tide during the 2013 commercial gillnet fishery in District 15C. Both were given a $260 fine out of the Juneau District Court.

Operating subsistence dungeness crab pot without a bio escape mechanism

• On June 8, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Rodger A. Painter, 66, of Kake a citation for operating a subsistence Dungeness crab pot that did not have a bio degradable escape mechanism. Painter was given a $110 fine out of the Kake District Court.

Runaway

• At 11:48 p.m. Sunday, a 13-year-old was reported as a runaway and later found.

• At 12 a.m. Monday, a 17-year-old was reported as a runaway and later found.

Sport fish charter guide assist clients in commission of violations / No personal flotation devices for youth under 13 years of age

• On June 12, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Sterling Bodell, age 36, of Sea Tan Valley, AZ a summons for allowing charter clients to commit violations while on a guided trip and for allowing youth under the age of 13 on the deck of his charter vessel without wearing personal flotation devices. Investigation showed Bodell allowed four non-resident youth under the age of 13 to catch and retain king salmon while on a guided charter trip without logging the king salmon on a youth harvest record and for allowing those youth to be on the deck of his charter vessel without any personal flotation devices. Bodell was given a $160 fine for the personal flotation devices.

Sport fishing without a valid license

• On June 13, Alaska Wildlife Troopers Juneau post issued Dustin L. Coby, age 21, of Gustavus, a citation for sport fishing near the entrance of Glacier Bay without a valid 2013 sport fish license. Coby was given a $210 fine out of the Juneau District Court.

Theft

• At 5:45 p.m. Sunday, 31-year-old man reported his $6500 silver Scott Spark mountain bike stolen in the 200 block of Fourth Street.

• At 6:57 p.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old woman reported a laptop computer and a safe were stolen out of a vehicle on the 2000 block of Skaters Cabin Road.

• At 8:33 a.m. Monday, a 56-year-old woman reported the theft of a yellow mountain bike on the 4400 block of Riverside Drive.

Vandalism

• At 8:31 a.m. Monday, investigation continued into a report of vandalism on south Shelter Island.
