Troopers investigate fight aboard Kennicott ferry

Alaska State Troopers say they are investigating a fight that took place between two passengers aboard the Kennicott, an Alaska Marine Highway System ferry.

Troopers were alerted to the incident from the crew at about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to an online dispatch from troopers.

An investigation revealed the suspect struck the victim with his fist several times about the head, causing minor injuries, the dispatch states. It occurred after the vessel departed Ketchikan.

Troopers say no arrests have been made, and the case will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
