Police and fire calls for July 7, 2013

Animal

• At 1:55 p.m. Thursday, Juneau Police Department documented damages caused by a bear on the 11900 block of Glacier Highway.

Burglary

• At 6:49 p.m. Thursday, JPD continued investigation into a reported burglary on the 800 block of Basin Road.

• At 6:41 a.m. Friday, JPD continued investigation into a reported burglary and criminal trespass on the 1400 block of Harbor Way.

Conditions violation

• At 11:34 p.m. Thursday, JPD assisted probations with a remand on the 400 block of I Street.

Disturbance

•At 5:34 p.m. Thursday, JPD continued investigation into a possible assault on the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 2:56 a.m. Saturday, Gustafer Sean Degner, 34, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting/interfering on the 200 block of Front Street. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Domestic violence

• At 3:51 a.m. Saturday, a 24-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault and taken to LCCC.

Driving without a license

• At 9:11 p.m. Thursday, Jacob Andrew Sanders, 19, was cited and released for driving without a valid license on the 1200 block of Egan Drive. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Theresa Renee VanVeen was cited and released for driving without a valid license on Egan Drive. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

• At 6:27 a.m. Friday, Tyler James Phillips, 19, was cited for driving without a license. His vehicle was impounded.

• At 1:42 a.m. Saturday, Christopher Eugene Overton, 29, was cited for driving without a license on the 2700 block of Egan Drive and his vehicle was impounded.

Driving while intoxicated

• At 5:16 p.m. Thursday, Barry Allan Ellsworth, 35, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Savikko Road. His vehicle was impounded.

• At 11:45 p.m. Friday, Lars William Johnson, 20, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for consuming alcohol as a minor. He was taken to LCCC and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

• At 2:28 a.m. Saturday, Candice Alaine Metcalf, 26, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on the 200 block of Front Street. She was taken to LCCC and her vehicle was impounded.

Drug activity

• At 1:35 p.m. Friday, JPD continued investigation into the report of drug activity in the Juneau area.

Fire/Medical

• At 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue was dispatched for emergency medical services on Franklin Street. Basic life support was provided to a male and a female patient and both were taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for further care.

• At 12:33 a.m. Thursday, basic life support was provided to a man on Glacier Highway and he was transported to BRH.

• At 5:08 a.m. Thursday, CCFR was dispatched to Glacier Avenue for emergency medical services but the male patient declined medical care and transport.

• At 7:15 a.m. Thursday, basic life support was provided to a male patient on Marine Way and he was taken to BRH for further care.

• At 11:22 a.m. Thursday, advanced life support was provided to a female patient on Franklin Street and she was taken to BRH for further care.

• At 11:41 a.m. Thursday, CCFR was dispatched to transport Airlift Northwest Crew with a male patient from BRH to Juneau International Airport.

• At 12:20 p.m. Thursday, basic life support was provided to a male patient on Eighth Street and he was taken to BRH for further care.

• At 2:22 p.m. Thursday, advanced life support was provided to a female patient on Gastineau Avenue and she was taken to BRH for further care.

• At 5:34 p.m. Thursday, advanced life support was provided to a male patient on Glacier Highway and he was taken to BRF for further care.

• At 5:48 p.m. Thursday, CCFR was dispatched to transport a female patient from BRH to her residence.

• At 9:16 p.m. Thursday, basic life support was provided to a male patient on Hospital drive and he was transported to BRH for further care.

• At 11:08 p.m. Thursday, CCFR was dispatched to provide emergency medical services to a female patient on Glacier Highway, she declined medical care and transport.

Found Property

• At 6:40 p.m., Thursday, a gold chain necklace was found on Savikko Road and placed into safekeeping.

• At 9:51 p.m. Thursday, a bicycle was found on the 6500 block of Glacier Highway and placed into safekeeping.

• At 10:47 a.m. Saturday, a knife was placed into safekeeping on the 100 block of Egan Drive.

Harassment

• At 11:32 a.m., JPD continued investigation into a report of harassment on the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road.

Lost property

• At 11:47 a.m. Friday, a 38-year-old woman reported a missing iPhone 4S.

• At 9:23 a.m. Saturday, a 25-year-old woman reported her passport lost sometime the night of July 3 in the downtown area.

Motor Vehicle Crash

• At 2:49 p.m. Thursday, a parked Chevy Silverado was struck by an unknown vehicle on the 2000 block of Jordan Avenue. The vehicle sustained damage to the driver side rear quarter panel.

Theft

• At 5:58 p.m. Thursday, a 22-year-old man reported the theft of his silver Marin bicycle on the 4400 block of Wood Duck Avenue.

• At 10:11 a.m. Friday, a 73-year-old man reported the theft of approximately $5000 worth of Jewelry from a storage unit on La Perouse Avenue. Investigation continues.

• At 1:14 p.m. Friday, a 43-year-old woman reported the theft of a cell phone and cash on the 200 block of Front Street.

• At 3:51 p.m. Friday, JPD continued investigation into a report of theft on the 200 block of Front Street.

• At 9:57 a.m. Saturday, a 48-year-old man reported the theft of a chainsaw on the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 10:19 a.m. Saturday, a 24-year-old woman reported the theft of a duffle bag on the 2000 block of Skaters Cabin Road.

Traffic Stop

• At 3:11 a.m. Saturday, a vehicle on the 9400 block of Berners Avenue was impounded as a traffic hazard.

Vandalism

• At 6:43 a.m. Saturday, a 47-year-old man reported vandalism to the rear hatch window of his 2002 Jeep on the 5900 block of Pine Street.
