Police & Fire for Thursday, July 18, 2013

Burglary

• At 3:42 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a report of a burglary at the Moose Lodge in the 8300 block of Airport Boulevard. An employee noticed the items, valued at $2,000, was stolen, according to JPD spokesman Lt. David Campbell. Police are not saying what item was stolen, citing an ongoing investigation.

Fire and medical

• At 7:38 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Lemon Creek Road, and she was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Franklin Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 11:29 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue was dispatched to Livingston Way to transport a female patient and Airlift Northwest crew from Juneau International Airport to BRH.

• At 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Glacier Highway for a reported grass fire in a field next to a church. Fire was not authorized and was extinguished.

• At 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Livingston Way to transport a male patient and Airlift Northwest crew from JIA to BRH.

• At 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Hospital Drive for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, no alarms were active and no obvious cause of alarm sounding.

• At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Vintage Boulevard for an emergency medical incident. A man declined transport.

• At 7:28 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to Willoughby Avenue for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, no alarms were active. Investigation revealed food on the stove caused the alarm.

• At 8:06 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on F Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 9:37 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Auke Bay Harbor Road, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 10:29 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Glacier Highway, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Mendenhall Boulevard, and she was taken to BRH.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 1:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of a damage-only hit-and-run in the 300 block of Fourth Street.

• At 6:31 p.m. Tuesday, a 51-year-old woman reported her vehicle was struck by another unknown vehicle in the 100 block of Seward Street, causing $1,000 worth of damage. Damage only.

Sex crime

• At 5:11 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into a report of a sexual assault.

Theft

• At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, a 41-year-old man reported the theft of a two person kayak in the 4400 block of Thane Road.

• At 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of theft of $250 worth of food stamps and a $600 cell phone in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.

Vandalism

• At 12:03 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of a vandalism in the 8500 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.
