Juneau Chamber of Commerce CEO Cathie Roemmich recently graduated from the Institute for Organizational Management, a professional development program through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, according to a foundation news release.
Roemmich received the recognition of “IOM” upon graduation. The IOM Graduate Recognition denotes her completion of 96 hours of courses in nonprofit management, the release stated. Nearly 1,000 people attend the institute each year.
Since its inception in 1921, the Institute for Organizational Management has educated tens of thousands of association, chamber and other nonprofit leaders on how to build stronger organizations and better serve their members, the release stated. The curriculum consists of four week-long sessions, including classes in subjects such as leadership, advocacy, and finance, at five universities across the country.
