Police & Fire for Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013

Assault

• At about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, a 19-year-old woman reported being assaulted by a 17-year-old girl in the 36000 block of Glacier Highway.

• At about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, a 17-year-old girl reported she was assaulted in the Juneau area. Investigation continues. Alcohol was involved.

• At 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, Donna Michelle Washington, 43, was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 2300 block of Oday Drive, and she was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.

Burglary

• At about 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a report of a burglary in the 8900 block of Sleepy Court.

• At 5:49 p.m. Tuesday, a 15-year-old boy and two 14-year-old girls were arrested for second-degree burglary in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive, and they were taken to the Johnson Youth Center.

• At 7:38 a.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old man reported a burglary at a business in the 400 block of Cordova Street.

Death

• At about 2:20 p.m. Monday, JPD investigated the death of a 29-year-old man in the 300 block of Fourth Street. Death is not considered suspicious. Next of kin has been notified.

Drug activity

• At 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into drug activity.

Drunken driving

• At about 7:50 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a drunken driving call in the 9300 block of Northland Street and investigated a report of a protective order violation.

Fight

• At 9:18 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a disturbance in the 4000 block of Delta Drive, and Tod Brooks Young, 19, was cited and released for minor consuming.

• At 10:39 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of disorderly conduct in the 200 block of Franklin Street.

Fire and medical

• At 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Fifth Street, and he was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Mendenhall Loop Road, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Third Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Franklin Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 9:01 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Douglas Highway, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Great Western Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 9:44 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire and Rescue responded to a good intent call on Douglas Highway and found “malicious activity.” No further explanation given.

• At 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Jacobsen Drive, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 12:38 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR was dispatched to transport a man and flight crew from Juneau International Airport to BRH.

• At 2:23 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm at Glacier Valley School on Tongass Boulevard. Upon arrival, staff member reported the boiler room had a broken pipe and there was no fire.

• At 2:23 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Salmon Creek Lane, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Jacobsen Drive, and she was taken to BRH.

Interfering

• At about 7:50 p.m. Monday, Jerome Charles Dennis Jr., 23, was arrested for interfering with and resisting arrest in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive. Police investigated for a drug-related driving under the influence offense. His vehicle was impounded, and he was taken to LCCC.

Larceny

• At 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, Harlan Gillette Jr., 54, was cited and released for larceny in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Sex crime

• At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated possession of child pornography.

• At 6:38 p.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of a sexual abuse of a minor.

Theft

• At about 6 p.m. Monday, a 19-year-old woman reported a theft in the 3100 block of Riverside Drive.

• At about 10 p.m. Monday, a woman reported a theft in the 100 block of Savikko Road.

• At about 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, a 55-year-old man reported the theft of clothes and a $250 Fred Meyer purchasing order in the 200 block of Franklin Street.

• At about 11 a.m. Tuesday, a 62-year-old man reported an iPad stolen in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue.

• At 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, a 49-year-old man reported the theft of his bike in the 11900 block of Glacier Highway.

Vandalism

• At about 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, a 36-year-old woman reported vandalism to the fuel tank of her vehicle in the 8500 block of Jennifer Drive.

Vehicle trespass

• At about 2:20 p.m. Monday, a 57-year-old woman reported her unlocked Subaru was entered in the Juneau area and a bag with miscellaneous paperwork and a book was stolen.

• At about 5 p.m. Monday, a 26-year-old man reported his pickup truck was vandalized in the 5300 block of Commercial Boulevard, and the steering wheel and stereo were stolen.

• At about 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, a 26-year-old man reported the theft of a front brush guard worth $400 taken from his pickup in the 5300 block of Commercial Boulevard.
