High wind warning in effect for parts of Southeast

Ketchikan, Prince of Wales Island and much of southern Southeast Alaska have been issued a high wind warning, according to the National Weather Service Juneau Forecast Office. Gusts could reach 70 miles per hour. The warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Friday.

Sitka, Petersburg and Wrangell are experiencing strong winds. The area will see gusts of up to 40 miles per hour through Friday evening.
