Police seek leads in North Douglas boat launch theft case

The police are seeking information regarding a theft reported earlier this summer.

Detective Krag Campbell said in a press release that someone broke into two commercial vans parked at the North Douglas boat launch and stole the following items:

• Cell phones

• Backpacks

• Wallets

• Purses

• Cameras

• Currency

The theft was reported to police on June 17 and 18.

The Juneau Police Department and Juneau Crime Line are highlighting this case as this week’s “Crime of the Week,” which seeks leads from the public once a case goes cold.

Anyone with information regarding this, or any other crime, is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at http://juneaucrimeline.com and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.
