Expo to teach emergency procedures

To help raise awareness of Juneau’s emergency response plans, the city is hosting its free annual Preparedness Expo this weekend at Centennial Hall.

Workshops on Juneau-specific disasters, home emergencies, and child and pet preparedness, among other topics, will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The family-friendly event will also include door prizes and vendors selling emergency planning supplies.
