Early turnout for tomorrow's elections down from last year

This year’s early voter turnout for municipal elections was about two-thirds of last year’s, Municipal Clerk Laurie Sica said Monday evening. Early absentee ballots came in at 704, a significant drop from last year’s 1042.

One Assembly seat is contested in the election. Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Forgot where you’re supposed to vote? Call the state Polling Place Locator at 1-888-383-8683.

Articles about the election, and a non-partisan League of Women Voters poll of local candidates, are available online at juneauempire.com/elections.
