Missing hikers rescued

Two Juneau men who were reported missing when they didn’t return from a hike Saturday have been found.

Christopher Sergeant, 35, and Jordan Watson, 36, were hiking Mount Ben Stewart trail on Douglas Island on Saturday and were overdue when authorities were contacted at about 11:30 p.m. Juneau Mountain Rescue began searching the area and found the men at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Alaska State Troopers office. JMR brought the men down to the trailhead. No injuries were reported.
