Auke Lake boat launch to close Thursday

City Parks and Recreation staff will begin removing regulatory buoys from Auke Lake on Oct. 17, a department news release stated. The boat launch will then be closed for the season.

The buoys must be removed in anticipation of winter ice, but, by ordinance, the lake cannot be used without the buoys to identify closed areas and no-wake zones, the release stated.

Parks and Recreation can be contacted at 586-5226 with questions and comments.
