Local help for enrolling in new Health Insurance Market Place

The news has been flooded with stories of difficulties accessing the new Health Insurance Market Place, part of the Affordable Care Act, but NAMI Juneau will host an event Monday, Nov. 4, to help locals navigate the new system.

Monday evening, 5-6:30 p.m., at Aldersgate Methodist Church, join a panel of experts from Enroll Alaska, United Way of Anchorage and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium to learn about the new healthcare options and the enrollment process. The free program is hosted by NAMI Juneau and sponsored by Southeast Alaska Independent Living, Juneau Alliance for Mental Health, Juneau Youth Services, the University of Alaska Southeast, the Mental Health Trust and the Jason Foundation.

For more information on the event, please contact NAMI Executive Director Dov Gartenberg at 463-4251.
