An article in Monday’s Empire about Tlingit language revitalization, “Learning Together,” listed outdated information on the number of Tlingit speakers, based on figures from the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Alaska Native Language Center. The updated figure is 200, according to Xh’unei Lance Twitchell, Assistant Professor of Alaska Native Languages at the University of Alaska Southeast.
