Fallen light post temporarily closes Egan Drive

A Juneau police officer talks with a male driver who lost control of his vehicle and knocked over a lamp pole Wednesday morning. The pole blocked both north bound lanes and traffic was diverted to Glacier Avenue. There were no injuries.

A SUV spun out of control and collided with a light post on Egan Drive near Harborview Elementary School on Wednesday morning temporarily closing the highway’s outbound lanes.

The light post fell across the outbound lanes causing traffic to be diverted to Glacier Highway. The pole was removed from the roadway and traffic resumed as normal by 10:40 a.m.
