Police seek vandalism suspect

Unidentified man kicked in liquor store's glass door

Police are hoping the public will be able to help them identify a man suspected of breaking the glass door of a Whittier Street liquor store.

Lt. Kris Sell said the door cost about $500 to replace after it was kicked in at about 1:41 a.m. on Dec. 3. Sell noted the man did not get into the business, Thibodeau’s Market Inc. Home Liquor & Deli.

The Juneau Police Department has posted the suspect’s picture online under the “Persons of Interest” section of their website, juneaupolice.com.

Police were able to obtain the man’s photograph from surveillance video, but they have not been able to identify him yet, Sell said.

JPD and the Juneau Crime Line highlighted this suspected vandalism as their “Crime of the Week,” which is designed to aid police investigations.
