Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) is looking for a spring 2014 college intern.
The position is credit-eligible, will be through the Juneau office’s Outdoor Recreation and Community Access (ORCA) program, and provides a monetary stipend and Eaglecrest season pass or lift tickets.
Interns must be enrolled in a college degree program, have at least intermediate cross country, downhill ski or snowboarding ability, and be able to work between 10 and 15 hours per week during the semester.
The ORCA program served almost 200 people in Southeast Alaska last year. It provides “quality adaptive and therapeutic recreation to individuals of all ages who experience a disability.”
ORCA prefers the application be in by Monday, Dec. 16, but the position is open until filled. Find out more at www.sailinc.org or www.uas.alaska.edu/career_services/internships.html.
