Juneau will have a new district ranger in 2014

Tongass National Forest Supervisor Forrest Cole announced Thursday that Brad Orr will take over the Juneau district next year. Orr is currently the recreation program manager on the Sulphur Ranger District of the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forests, based in Granby, Colorado.

“We are extremely pleased to have Brad coming on staff,” Cole said. “The Juneau Ranger District will benefit from his strong background managing high-use areas.”

Current Juneau ranger Marti Marshall is retiring in January after being on the job for more than three years.
