Free legal clinic slated for MLK Day

The legal community is hosting its annual Martin Luther King Day free legal clinic for people seeking legal assistance in Juneau.

Lawyers will be on hand at two locations in Juneau to answer questions about a variety of legal topics, including Medicare/Medicaid, eviction, child custody/support, divorce, rental properties and social security.

The clinic will be held on Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Juneau Christian Center in the valley, 8001 Glacier Highway, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dimond Courthouse downtown, 123 Fourth Street.

The clinic is a public service project sponsored by the Alaska Bar Association, Alaska Court System, Alaska Legal Services Corporation and the Juneau Bar Association. For more information, visit www.alaskabar.org/mlk.
