As this challenge goes on, hopefully you have developed a routine that fits into your busy schedule and you’re feeling good. Now it’s time to step up your routine and mix things up. So, our tip this week is….
Increase Your Activity. It’s easy to become comfortable with a workout routine but adding intensity or new activities can give you the boost you need to stay interested and see results. This could be done in different ways; try upping your reps or weight, or increasing your time during a cardio activity, or adding another exercise to the mix. Also, remember to pack your water bottle so that you can stay hydrated while you work out.
There are other ways you can increase how much you move that aren’t part of your gym regiment but worked into your daily tasks. Instead of driving around looking for a front row space, park in the back of the lot. Take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. Shovel the driveway instead of using the snow blower. Walk the dog an extra block or two.
As you continue this fitness challenge, remember to increase your activity level. Exercise routines need to be modified regularly in order to see and feel continuous results. Try adding in our exercise of the week to your next work out.
