Reward doubled for reporting Memorial Day drunk drivers

The Juneau Crime Line is doubling its reward for people who report drunk drivers around the Memorial Day holiday, according to the Juneau Police Department.

The nonprofit group will be offering a $200 reward for anyone that reports a drunk river from May 21 through June 4, said JPD Lt. Kris Sell. Memorial Day is May 26.

Juneau historically sees an increase of drunken drivers and drug-related car accidents on the road during the Memorial Day holiday, Sell said.
