Eat pancakes on the Fourth for a good cause

The Capital City Fire/Rescue Auxiliary will be selling pancakes for a good cause during the Fourth of July parade in downtown Juneau.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Hospice and Home Care of Juneau, a Catholic Community Service organization that provides care and support to people with terminal illnesses who have less than six months to live.

The pancake feed will take place at the downtown fire station from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 4. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Sausage, orange juice and coffee will also be served. Meals can be “to go” so breakfast lovers can get a good spot for the parade.

The CCFR Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization that formed last year to support local firefighters and to give back to the community.
