Police said a 73-year-old driver accidentally hit the building on Friday morning and caused approximately $20,000 to $30,000 worth of damage.

Sgt. David Wrightson said the woman thought her vehicle was in reverse when she pressed on the accelerator, but it wasn't. The vehicle jumped the curb, slammed into the metal structure and knocked out a support piece of the building's foundation, which accounts for the high repair cost, police said. Police cited the woman, Juliet Schmidt, for "unsafe start" of a vehicle.
