Police & Fire for Friday, Aug. 22, 2014

Assault

• At 10:23 p.m. Wednesday, a 43-year-old man reported disorderly conduct on Village Street. The suspect was gone on arrival. Alcohol was involved.

Death

• At 9:07 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a request for a welfare check in the 9200 block of James Boulevard. Officers found a 40-year-old man dead on arrival. The death was not suspicious. His name could not be released since next of kin have not yet been notified.

Domestic violence assault

• At 2:03 a.m. Thursday, a 60-year-old woman reported being assaulted by her boyfriend. He was gone on arrival and could not be located. Alcohol was involved.

• At 3:39 a.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault, and he was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.

Fire and medical

• At 12:24 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue transported a man and Airlift Northwest crew from Bartlett Regional Hospital to Juneau International Airport.

• At 2:58 a.m. Tuesday, CCFR transported a man from BRH to JIA.

• At 5:48 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Jacobsen Drive, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 5:53 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Jacobsen Drive, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 7:32 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Lemon Creek Road, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 7:41 a.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to an EMS call on Kanat-A Street, and CPR was given to a woman on scene. The woman was pronounced dead on arrival and was left in the care of family members and the Juneau Police Department.

• At 7:52 a.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Fourth Street, and no fire was found. Alarm caused by construction dust.

• At 12 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman and a man on Yandukin Drive, and they were taken to BRH.

• At 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR transported a man from BRH to his residence.

• At 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on 12th Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 1:57 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Jacobsen Drive, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 2:07 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR transported a man and Airlift Northwest crew from JIA to BRH.

• At 4:52 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Glacier Highway, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 7:48 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Glacier Highway, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 9:02 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to a good intent call on Trout Street, and CCFR personnel assisted a man on scene until another agency arrived for transport.

• At 11:01 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR transported a woman and Airlift Northwest crew from JIA to BRH.

• At 11:29 p.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Valley Boulevard, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 2:13 a.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Glendale Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 6:18 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a reported structure fire on Fifth Street. Chimney smoke was found, but no fire. Smoke caused by boiler. Boiler was turned off and residence owner was advised to call a heating company to service the boiler before further use.

• At 6:26 a.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Nugget Drive, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, basic life support care was given to a man on Marine Way, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 10:38 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR transported a woman and Guardian Flight crew from BRH to JIA.

• At 11:44 a.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a two-vehicle crash on Glacier Highway and the Glacier Highway Access Road. No injuries.

• At 12:59 p.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Shaune Drive, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to a fire alarm on Front Street, and a slight smell of smoke was found inside the structure but no fire was found. Alarm caused by clothing left on a heating plate. Fans used to ventilate the area.

• At 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR transported a woman and Airlift Northwest crew from BRH to JIA.

• At 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR transported a woman and Airlift Northwest crew from BRH to JIA.

• At 3:51 p.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on Franklin Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Forest Lane, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 9:07 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to an EMS call on James Boulevard, and a man was found dead on arrival. He was left in the care of the JPD.

• At 10:01 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to an open burn complaint on Kanat-A Street, and a small brush fire was found producing smoke. Occupants had burn permit but agreed to let the fire burn out due to the complaint.

• At 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, CCFR responded to an EMS call on Willoughby Way, and a man was assessed and refused transport.

Fraud

• At 7:57 a.m. Thursday, JPD investigated a report of a fraud in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive.

Identity theft

• At 8:14 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of identity theft.

Remand

• At 4:38 p.m. Wednesday, JPD assisted the Adult Probations Office with a remand.

Theft

• At 1:16 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a theft of a cell phone in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 9:19 a.m. Thursday, a Juneau woman reported the theft of her debit and credit cards.

• At 8:38 a.m. Thursday, a 20-year-old man reported his bike valued at $600 was stolen from his residence in the 8500 block of Jennifer Drive.

Vandalism

• At 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, a 19-year-old woman broke out a window of a residence in the 4300 block of Taku Boulevard and then fled the scene. Charges are pending. No arrests were made so her name could not be released.
