Police & Fire for Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014

Burglary

• At 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, a 44-year-old woman called the Juneau Police Department to report her residence was burglarized in the past 24 hours in the 4700 block of Thane Road.

Disturbance

• At 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Gregg Kortesma, 43, was arrested for third-degree assault after pointing a rifle at another person in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Drug activity

• At 2:05 p.m. Tuesday, JPD assisted another agency with their investigation.

Drunken driving

• 12:57 p.m. Tuesday, Joseph Murphy, 48, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 2200 block of Trout Street.

Fire and medical

• At 12:02 a.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a woman on Postal Way, and she was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital.

• At 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Franklin Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 7:47 a.m. Tuesday, basic life support care was given to a woman on Franklin Street, and she was taken to BRH.

• At 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue transported a man and Airlift Northwest crew from Juneau International Airport to BRH.

• At 2:03 p.m. Tuesday, advanced life support care was given to a man on 12th Street, and he was taken to BRH.

• At 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to an open burn complaint on Glacier Highway, and a paper and cardboard fire was found. Occupant allowed to continue burning and advised to burn the fire hot and clean.

• At 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, CCFR responded to a search and rescue on Mount Roberts. Patient was located on land, and a man was taken to BRH.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 11 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle struck a parked trailer on Douglas Highway, and investigation continues. Damage only.

Sex crime

• At 5:06 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a confidential report of possible sexual assault.

• At 11:44 a.m. Tuesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into a report of a “historical” sexual abuse of a minor.

Theft

• At 2:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of a stolen guitar in the 1800 block of Mark Alan Street.

Vandalism

• At 11:17 a.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of vandalism of a sport fishing charter boat which had its wiring harness out in the 11400 block of Auke Bay Harbor Road.
