Juneau (CL-52) was a United States Navy Atlanta-class light cruiser which sunk at the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal on Nov. 13, 1942. Out of the nearly 700 crewmembers on board, only around 100 men made it off the ship, and only ten men survived the open sea and shark attacks to later be picked up the U.S.S. Ballard.
