Native Issues Forum Wednesday to highlight language

The next Native Issues Forum will be on the current state and future of Alaska Native languages.

Rep. Jonathan Kreiss-Tompkins, Marvin Adams, Professor Lance Twitchell of the University of Alaska Southeast, Robert Edwardson and Alfie Price will make up the panel.

The forum will take place Wednesday from noon-1 p.m. at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall. There will be a free lunch catered by Abby’s Kitchen.

Native Issues Forums are co-sponsored by the Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska and Sealaska Corporation, and highlight a wide range of topics important to the Native community. All forums are free and open to the public. They are also webcast live at
