Watch Alyssa London compete for Miss USA on Sunday

Alyssa London is the first Tlingit woman to hold the Miss Alaska USA title and on May 14, she will compete for the Miss USA 2017 title.

A viewing party at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall, 320 W. Willoughby Ave., will be held to support London on May 14 at 3 p.m. The party is hosted by Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska. There will be door prizes, and light refreshments will be served.

[Meet the first Tlingit Miss Alaska USA]

Alyssa’s Tlingit name is Yáx Ádi Yádi (meaning most precious child) and is Eagle of the Killerwhale clan. If successful, London will also be the first Alaska Native/American Indian to win the title of Miss UAS.
