A Juneau resident is behind bars after allegedly burglarizing a coffee shop Sunday morning, according to a release from the Juneau Police Department.

Employees of The Grind Coffee Company reported Monday morning that an iPad, clothing, utensils, food and other items had been stolen from its shop at 489 S. Franklin St., the release states. The stolen items, police say, are worth an estimated $750.

The store’s security camera footage from Sunday morning helped identify the burglar as Joseph Yaletchko, 47, the JPD release says. Soon after burglary was reported to police Monday morning, officers found Yaletchko walking in the downtown area, police said.

Officers arrested him for second-degree burglary (a class C felony) and second-degree theft (a class C felony). Yaletchko was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center where he was held without bail.
