Helen Hanlon of Juneau and Ryan Ward of Minneapolis will be married June 2, 2011 at the Admiral Kidd Club in San Diego. The couple will honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The prospective bride is the daughter of John and Alberta Hanlon. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in intelligence studies at the American Military University. Hanlon is also working toward a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served for 10 years and is currently employed as a reconnaissance subject matter expert with L3 Communications.
The prospective groom is the son of Gene and Deborah Ward. He graduated from Armstrong Senior high School in Plymouth, Minn. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics management and a Master of Science degree in general administration. He is an Air Force veteran who served for 16 years and is currently employed as a collection manager with SAIC and the United States Air Force Warfare Center.
Sallie Wright, the bride’s sister, will be Hanlon’s maid of honor, and Shawn Ward, the groom’s brother, will stand as best man.
After their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Las Vegas.
