Pets for the week of April 24, 2011

Sunny – SSS seeking LRH

Sweet Snuggly Senior seeking Loving Retirement Home

I’m a beautiful, red/blonde, Pomeranian mix, who is a sweet talker when I’m not getting enough love to suit me. I do have a low-grade heart murmur that my new home will need to keep track of with their regular veterinarian. I will do best in a low-key household. I’m looking for a great retirement home to lounge away my golden years, and a family that will give me the love that I deserve.

Bridget – FECP seeking ALH

Friendly Energetic Cock-a-Poo seeking Active Loving Human

I’m a 4-year-old lover-girl with lots of love to share. Despite my small stature, I’m a very agile counter-surfer, so you will need good cupboards and a dog-proof trash can to keep me safe from temptation. Other than my overt obsession with food, I’m a lovely girl who gets along with other animals, and I would probably enjoy the company of dog-friendly kids. I need a home that will give me lots of exercise, a strict diet to lose a few pounds, and a lot of love.

Angel – SLS seeking CQH

Shy Loving Snuggler seeking Calm Quiet Home

I’m a very sweet loving little girl, who is looking for a calm quiet environment where I can snuggle with my people. A 1 1/2-year-old Chihuahua mix, I will probably do best in a home without small children, since I can be a little nervous with too much going on. I am looking for a calm home. Once I accept you, I will snuggle right up with you, and would make a great couch partner for life.

Hank – HHM seeking AHWSY

Houdini Husky Mix seeking Active Human with Secure Yard.

Some people see escape as a problem; I see it as a talent! I’m a great dog with an unbeatable temperament, and a mischievous talent for escaping. As my lanky build suggests, I love to run and need lots of exercise. At 3 years old, I get along great with other dogs and people of all ages, but I really need a running/biking/hiking partner to keep up with my urge to exercise, and a maximum security yard if I’m to be left out unattended. My former home had great success with an invisible fence to keep me in the yard.

To meet these pets, visit the Gastineau Humane Society, 2 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information call 789-2060.
