Kids in Juneau are reading this summer and writing reviews of their books. A drawing from the review entries is held each week at the three public libraries. Winners receive prizes generously donated by local businesses.
The Valley branch winner for this week is:

Why I chose it: “I chose it because (it is) the color pink and because the kitty has a flower in her hair. I thought it would be a good book about a birthday party. Other little girls might like it.”

Why I chose it: “Because I am going to be a big brother; because you can kiss the baby toes and the baby smiles. Big brothers might like this book.”

Why I chose it: “Because the rest of the series was wonderful, because it was suspenseful. My friend Helena might like it.”

It is exciting and you will really want to live it. The story was very engrossing and sucks you in. If you like history and realistic stories, you might like this book.
