Signups ongoing for WSI course
The Red Cross and the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool are conducting a Water Safety instructor course, which begins with a mandatory pre-session at 5 p.m. Aug. 11.
Participants must be 16 years old by the course’s conclusion, pass a skills test and hold a current Fundamentals of Instructor Training certification. That certification will be held at the end of the WSI course.
After the mandatory pre-course session, sessions will be offered on three different schedules throughout August. The course costs $136.70, plus a $12 fee if FIT certification is needed.
All classes will take place at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool, 155 S. Seward St.
