Pets of the week
Gemini is an awesome all-around cat. At 11 years old, he gets along well with cats, dogs and people of all ages. He is really friendly and loves to meet people at the door. Gemini is a super smart boy who pays close attention to everything around him and is quick to learn new tricks to get what he wants.
Libby is a very lovable and friendly girl. She likes to talk and will hold lengthy conversations with anyone willing to spend a little time with her. Not at all shy, Libby likes to introduce herself to everyone within a room. With her long black hair she will need a family who is willing to keep up on her brushing.
Belle is a super sweet 14-years-old gal in excellent shape for her age. She may be blind in one eye but that doesn’t stop her from full enjoyment of life. She is a beautiful cocker spaniel with a luxurious creamy coat who likes to go for long walks. She is looking for a home that will be able to deal with her chronic ear problems and doesn’t have anything hyperactive that could jostle or jump on her.
Rosie is a lovely terrier mix, only 6 years old. She is very well trained and would be great for a home who wants a lifelong companion without the extra work that comes with training a younger dog. She is calm, gentle and fancies a home that will understand that she is really a lap dog who just wants to cuddle.
To meet these pets, visit the Gastineau Humane Society, 2 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information call 789-0260.
