The Juneau-Douglas Fourth of July parade theme for 2012 is “A Tribute to our Red, White and Blue.” The theme was chosen to highlight the unofficial symbolic meaning of the colors: red stands for valor and hardiness, white for purity and innocence, and blue for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
The parade grand marshal will be revealed at a later date.
Entry forms will be available beginning May 1, 2012 at two locations, downtown at the Juneau Visitor Center located at Centennial Hall and in the valley at the Mendenhall Library. The deadline for entries will be June 25.
