Girl Scouts just wanna have fun - and do good

Brownie Troop 4036 raised more than $150 for UNICEF's Trick or Treat Campaign. They money will supply dozens of children in the poorest countries with clean water, protein biscuits, first aid material and school supplies. The troop is comprised of second and third grade students from  Gastineau Elementary, Harborview Elementary, the Juneau Community Charter School along with home-schooled girls. Brownie Troop 4036 raised more than $150 for UNICEF's Trick or Treat Campaign. They money will supply dozens of children in the poorest countries with clean water, protein biscuits, first aid material and school supplies. The troop is comprised of second and third grade students from Gastineau Elementary, Harborview Elementary, the Juneau Community Charter School along with home-schooled girls.

Left: Daisy Troop 4018 celebrates 100 years of Girl Scouts by forming the number with their bodies. This centennial challenge was posed to Alaska troops and these daisies, ages 5 and 6, didn’t balk at a challenge.
