Pets of the Week: Sunday, Feb. 5

This gorgeous girl is extremely friendly and easy-going. She’s looking for a home that can provide lots of love and attention, and a warm lap to curl up in. Tara would be a great reading companion! She loves to kneed pillows with her giant paws. Her thick fur needs weekly brushing (which she really enjoys, thankfully). She seems to do well around other cats.

Sunny is a gentle lady of leisure looking for a home to spend her golden years. This older gal loves soft beds and back scratches and would be content to nap away the afternoon in front of a warm window. Do you have space in your heart and home for this beautiful orange lady?

Vera is a sweet young girl who loves being petted almost as much as she loves playtime. Like any young lab/husky mix she has a ton of energy which would make her a fantastic hiking or beach walking buddy. She has learned her basic manners and can sit, stay, and will come when called. Vera is looking for an active family that will give her plenty of outlets for her high energy level and will also give her the patience and training she needs for house training as well as continuing to teach her manners.

Acer is a big lovable Pit Bull who loves everyone he meets. This affection carries over to other dogs as well as he seems to get along with everyone in the kennel. He’s a very trainable fellow who has responded very well to clicker training and is quickly learning his basic manners such as sit and stay (he’s very treat oriented which makes training even easier!) He also doesn’t really know his own strength and can send smaller children rolling in his eagerness to say hello so we’d prefer he find a home with no kids at this time.

Thanks for attending fundraiser at the Goldtown

On behalf of Congregation Sukkat Shalom, I would like to thank all those who attended the Fiddler on the Roof singalong at the Goldtown Nickelodeon on Dec. 25. We raised close to $700 which we donated to the American Civil Liberties Union, whose mission is to protect the personal liberties we all cherish and defend freedom every day all across America in every state.
