Activity: Panah is a very active firefighter/EMT. He was our 2nd top volunteer responder for 2011. He is active as a firefighter, EMT, and a rope/water team member. He is also one of our engineers and is qualified to drive engines out of Auke Bay, Douglas, and Glacier stations. The picture is of him after pumping the engine for the first time at a fire. He often rides with the career staff to get more experience and to help build good rapport between the two divisions.
Reason nominated: He is an excellent example of what you can achieve if you put your mind to it. He has juggled work, school, and the fire department very well. He has been a positive influence for the newer firefighters. He is very upbeat and quick to smile. He gets along well with all members of the department.
