The University of Alaska Southeast, the Alaska eHealth Network and the Alaska EHR Alliance, with funding from the national coordinator for Health IT, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, will offer an eight hour web-based course on the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
The course will cost $50 but scholarships are available. Registration is open through March 23 and the course is available starting March 6 to be taken online. To take the course, registrants must have access to a computer with Internet and sound capabilities.
The course topics include: Health Informatics and EHRs; Information Exchange in Health IT Systems; Health IT Workflow, Process Analysis and Redesign; and Alaska Health Information Exchange and Regional Extension Center.
Participants will receive a certificate of completion for eight continuing education contact hours.
