Shriners to host St. Patrick's Day dance Saturday

Posted: March 11, 2012 - 12:02am

The Juneau-Douglas Shine Club will hold its annual dance from 7 p.m. until midnight on Saturday at Centennial Hall. The BrickHouse Band, a high-energy dance band from Seattle, will provide entertainment, and the price of admission also includes hors d’oveures. A no-host bar will also be available.

All proceeds from the event benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children, which provide care for kids with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special health care needs. The Shriners Hospitals for Children also provide education and training for physicians and health care providers and conduct research into new and better ways to improve the health of children and their families. No child is turned away from any of the 22 international Shriners Hospitals for Children because of an inability to pay.

Tickets for this St. Patrick’s Day event are just $30, and a couple can attend for $50. Students over 18, seniors and military members can purchase tickets for just $25.

For more information, call Paul at 723-5015.
