Welcome to Cuba — a place so little, but with so much. So much history, so many people, so much love.

It’s hard to believe that we just arrived here two weeks ago. We have been dealing with the culture, climate, and language on a daily basis, and all though Cuba has so much to offer, it can make you feel like so little. We have encountered many unusual things. Men catcall in the streets, and women give bad looks. The food is fresh, yet it’s simple. The landscape is beautiful, but the city streets can be full of trash.

In this land of strangeness one can’t help but be humbled and have a greater respect for Juneau.

Mucho amor de Cuba.
