Douglas Post Office rally thank you

The Douglas Advisory Board would like to extend a thank you to those that participated in the rally of support for the Douglas Post Office on Wednesday, March 28.

 

A special thanks to Frank Balogh with Alaska Auto Repair for the stage and transportation, Mike Donohue with Troubles End for use of stairs, Kathleen Buell with Night Moods for balloons, Shelly Harmon and students of the Rally program for the banners, Snowfree Video, Tom Locher and Sammi Baker for the music and the Douglas Depot for use of their parking lot. Thank you to Mayor Botelho, Susanne Williams and Sally Smith for their words of support and to the City Clerk’s office, especially Beth McEwen and Laurie Sica for their help in organizing this event. We also appreciate the efforts of Senator Begich’s Juneau office which facilitated in getting our comments to Washington D.C. Thanks to the wonderful media coverage this event was a huge success.
