A Night in New Orleans

The Alaska Youth Choir would like to thank the following individuals and organizations who helped to make our recent fundraising dinner, “A Night in New Orleans,” a great success. All the proceeds from this dinner will go to support the travel, lodging, and registration costs for the choir to participate in a singing festival in New Orleans in June.

Our gratitude goes to the Henry I. and Grace T. Akiyama Scholarship Fund Trustees and the Akiyama family, Creative Memories, Anne B. Newman, Best Western, Bullwinkle’s Pizza Parlor, Carol Fleek, Cliff Stone, Costco, Cycle Alaska, Elaine Miller, Elgee Rehfeld Mertz, HAP Alaska Yukon, Integrity Real Estate Inspections, Invisible World, Juneau Family Health & Birth Center, Katrina Davenny, Martha’s Flowers, Mike Race, The Moose Family Center, Northland Services, Northstar Trekking, Pavitt Health & Fitness, Rainforest Pediatric Care, Sarina Jones, Susan McDonough, Taku Glacier Lodge, The Hangar on the Wharf, The Twisted Fish, U-Haul of Juneau, Valley Lumber, Waterside Trio, and Wings Airways. Thanks in particular to Laraine Derr, John Decherney of Specialty Imports, and Superbear Supermarket, who have been stalwart supporters and donors of time, effort, and delicious ingredients to the dinner for several years.

We’re also grateful to everyone who attended the dinner and bid on desserts and auction items. On behalf of the AYC community of youth and families, thank you all.
