The Rotary Club of Juneau wishes to express its gratitude to all of those who made our 26th Annual Rose Sale a success this year.
Funds raised go to support Rotary community projects, youth exchange and scholarships. We send thanks to: Teresa Busch of The Plant People for sourcing the roses; Roger Calloway, Amy, and the crew at Reliable Transfer for allowing us to stage deliveries from their facility; local floatplane operators Wings of Alaska, Alaska Seaplanes and Ward Air for delivering roses to outlying communities; Alaska Litho for assistance with printing; local media outlets including The Juneau Empire, The Capital City Weekly, KINY, KJNO, MIX 106, KTKU and KXJ, for their promotional efforts; Mendenhall Auto for the use of a van and staff to deliver roses, Carla and Joe Meek for their superhuman efforts at coordinating the delivery of roses each year; Elgee Rehfeld Mertz for staff time spent on accounting for the sale, all of our Rotary Club members who took time off from work to prepare and deliver roses; and, of course, thanks to all of you who purchased the beautiful roses this year. We hope you enjoyed them!
