Thanks for supporting the Juneau Jumpers

The Juneau Jumpers would like to offer an enthusiastic and heartfelt thank you to the coaches, many community sponsors and parents who helped make their 27th season such a success. The Juneau Jumpers program is a supportive, safe, healthy, and fun environment for children and youth, third-grade through high school, who are willing to put forth the effort and the dedication to practice, to learn, teach and perfect jump rope and gymnastic skills. It promotes a healthy lifestyle and teamwork, as well as personal development.

The Juneau Jumpers finished their 27th season with a spring show for the community where jumpers displayed their awesome jumping talents, including a glow rope routine, along with other incredible jump rope skills and routines. We are very appreciative of the Glacier Valley Ballroom Dancers for performing and entertaining our audience during half-time. At the show there was a silent auction featuring some fantastic homemade desserts and creative baskets, created and donated by team families. Door prize drawings were held and we would like to thank the following Juneau Businesses for generously donating door prizes: Era Helicopters, Pavitt Health & Fitness and Fred Meyer’s. Thank you to all the parents and volunteers helping to put the show on and to the community for showing your appreciation for the Juneau Jumper program by attending the show.

Juneau Jumpers 24th Annual Raffle Drawing was held during half-time at the spring show and the lucky winners were:

1st Prize: Two Alaska Airlines round-trip coach tickets Juneau to Seattle: Lisa May

2nd Prize: Taku Glacier Lodge flight and feast for two: Jerry Godkin

3rd Prize: Helicoptor glacier walkabout for two (NorthStar Trekking): Bjorn Dihle

4th Prize: White Pass and Yukon Route Railway excursion for two: Margie Germain

5th Prize: Allen Marine whale watching and wildlife quest for two: Brant Deaton

6th Prize: Eagle Creek travel pack (Nugget Alaskan Outfitter): Claire Varner

7th Prize: Allen Marine whale watching and wildlife quest for two: Terry Newman

The Juneau Jumpers team exists because of the willingness of a few dedicated people to put in numerous hours of volunteer time; the majority of time is put in by our dedicated coaching staff. The team wishes to thank Karen Ross for donating her time and energy to make this program a success. In addition, we wish to thank Tera and Jake Ross, Lesley Kalbrener, the assistant coaching staff and all the team families who donate their time and energy thorough the season and provide and support their talented team members. We also wish to thank Glacier Valley School for continuing to allow us to use their facilities to hold our practices, as they have for the past 27 years.

Last but not least, we wish to offer special thanks to our raffle and team sponsors: Alaska Airlines, Taku Glacier Lodge and Wings Airways, NorthStar Trekking, White Pass and Yukon Route Railway, Allen Marine Tours, Nugget Alaskan Outfitter and Subway. We also wish to thank our local small businesses Era Helicopter, Pavitt Health and Fitness and Fred Meyer for the donation of door prizes. We thank Baxter Bruce & Sullivan PC for their donation to our team. The generous support of these sponsors helps raise money for team competitions, uniforms, travel, and ongoing team sportsmanship and development.
