Successful Family Nights

Thanks to the Juneau Unitarian Universalist Fellowship who provided not just one, but two dinners and a dessert for the Family Nights at Geneva Woods, Cedar Park and Riverbend Public Housing. Thanks also to Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC) and their program, STEM AK (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) who lent us robots to program, tools to conduct electricity through lemons, and a water rocket launcher. A special thanks to Becca Parks, from JEDC, who was able to come out for one event, bring a friend to help, and get soaked while kids around her jumped with excitement each time the water rocket was launched. Volunteering to provide meals and activities created greater participation and allowed families to get information about summer camp opportunities. Thanks to everyone who participated.
