Thank you, Juneau community, for helping JAMM reach its goal

In this photo, Glacier Valley first-grade violinist, Jazlynne LaChester, helps the audience count by $1,000's to celebrate Juneau, Alaska Music Matters reaching its $18,000 goal.

Juneau, Alaska Music Matters (JAMM) would like to thank the Juneau community for helping this music program for young children reach its $18,000 goal to expand to 2nd grade at Glacier Valley and kindergarten at Riverbend and Auke Bay Elementary Schools next year. Ron and Kathy Maas pledged a $6,000 matching grant to help place violins in the small hands of students at these Title I Schools and the Juneau community generously responded. There is not enough space to recognize all of the contributors, but JAMM would like to acknowledge the generous donations $250 and above: Ron and Kathy Maas, Michael and DeeAnn Grummett, Juneau Community Foundation’s Machamer Fund, Juneau Community Foundation’s Great Blue Heron Fund, Marlintini’s Lounge, Sealaska Native Corporation, Skaggs Foundation and the Jackie Tupou Family. Thank you again, Juneau, for investing in the intellectual, creative and disciplined minds of our students!
